The first step to registering your student for Transportation is to fill out our Bus Pass Application. Families may purchase a bus pass or punch card by completing an application and bringing cash or a check to the Transportation Office at the PLESD District Office on Plumas School Road. Income-based options for families who may find these expenses a hardship are also available.  Please complete a Free or Reduced Meal Application to apply.

To be eligible to ride the school bus students must be outside of the walking distances below from their school.
  • Pre K - 5th Grade : Walking Distance of  ¾ of a mile
  • 6th Grade - 8th Grade : Walking Distance of 1 mile

Along with the application form, we have our Bus Rules and Procedures that need to be followed. Failure to follow these rules will result in disciplinary warnings that may result in a loss of bus privileges. Please look over the Bus Rules and Procedures to ensure that your student understands.

  • Bus Passes will be passed out the first 2 days of school.

  • There will be no transportation on the first two days of school for Kindergarten and Pre K students so please make other arrangements if your K or PK student rides the bus.

  • All K and PK students along with any students new to our district, are requested to send a  headshot photo to our email awilke@plusd.org so it can be added to their bus pass.

Please note that a few stops we have used in years past have been relocated to nearby parks.
Please check this updated list 24/25 Bus Stops so you are choosing the location closest to your home address when completing your bus application.

Schedules are still being finalized and will be posted by August 12.

Please ensure that your student is at least 5 minutes early to their bus stop.

For the safety of our students, all students are required to carry a bus pass daily in order to board the bus.  Bus passes identify the student, and insure that the student is being picked up and dropped off at the appropriate location.

Your student will only be picked up and dropped off at their designated bus stop. If a student needs to get off at a different stop for any reason,  a Student Release Form must be filled out and returned to the school office and transportation department.
