Plumas Lake Elementary School District is building its fourth school to provide additional learning space for our growing community. The campus construction will include 22 classrooms, an office, and a cafeteria.

Phase One: Classrooms, Office & Cafeteria
Includes 22 classrooms, an office, and a cafeteria, with a total construction cost of $59 million.

Phase Two: Gymnasium
A separate $18 million project, funded by $9 million from taxpayers and a $9 million loan to be repaid through future developer fees. Phase Two will only happen if Measure H is approved in the upcoming November Election.

Phase Three: Library & Additional Classrooms
A long-term future phase that would add a library and additional classrooms. Construction timing and funding have not yet been determined.

Gymnasium Funding
The gymnasium is a separate $18 million project and is not included in the $59 million campus construction cost. Half of the gym’s cost—$9 million—will be funded by taxpayers. The remaining $9 million will be financed through a loan repaid with future developer fees. This will happen if Measure H is approved in the upcoming November Election.

Notice Of Preparation
Public Notice: Plumas Lake Middle School Project
Plumas Lake Elementary School District is preparing an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the proposed Plumas Lake Middle School. The project includes a new middle school campus, sports facilities, and roadway improvements. Community input is invited during the 30-day public review period from June 20 to July 21, 2025. A public scoping meeting will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 3–4 p.m.

Plumas Lake Elementary School District hosted a CEQA Scoping Meeting on July 10, 2025, to share details about the proposed Plumas Lake Middle School project and invite community input.
