| | The Kid Live FNL students held their 1st Annual Safety Day on Thursday, April 23rd. The day was a great success and all of our students learned a lot about how they can keep themselves and others safe.
The students performed a skit about the importance of wearing a helmet and protecting one's brain. They also had a Mr. Basi and Mr. Nystrom participate in a relay in which they had to wear fatal vision goggles. Next, the students read some local school and county statistics related to traffic safety. Then the CHP took over. The officers spoke to the students about various types of safety and did some demonstrations using a K-9 unit dog. It was a lot of fun.
During lunch recess the students held a rally for the entire school. Some of the stations that students could go to were a roll over car demonstration, a game of red light green light involving box cars, and an obstacle course in which students wore fatal vision goggles and had to try and ride a tricycle. They also had a DJ playing music for everyone during the event.

| | Students were selected from 3rd through 5th grade to start Cobblestone's first Friday Night Live Chapter. Their Kid Live Chapter is working hard on planning both school and community events to increase awareness about Traffic Safety. On Friday, January 30th students from our school partnered with Friday Night Live in conducting a Seatbelt Survey. 75% of the students were wearing seatbelts and 85% of the parents were wearing seatbelts.
100% of the Cobblestone Staff/Teachers were wearing their seatbelts!
