Homework
The goal of homework is to support what we do during the day.

We are beginning Reading Groups this week. Mrs. Rojo and I will be working with kids from both our classrooms. The goal of the reading groups is to offer time for our students to receive support...to focus on their needs in language and reading. Based on their Theme Skills Test, we were able to figure out where we need to reteach and support their needs...while at the same time...where we may need to offer support for those that need a challenge.

This week, our homework has changed. I am sending home homework that fits their needs at this time. For example, one student may need more support with letter names and sounds where another may need to focus on blending and reading words. It will depend on the student. I want the homework to be supportive.
