Special Education Staff    Resources for Families   
The Plumas Lake School District is committed to providing quality special education services to children who qualify under the federal law, Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, and the California Education Code.

Special Education is a program designed to meet the unique educational needs of children with disabilities who meet the eligibility criteria under the law. Special education services can begin in infancy and continue until age twenty-two. If your child is eligible, he/she may receive special education services under one of the following areas:

*    Speech/Language Impairment
*    Specific Learning Disabilities
*    Emotional Disturbance
*    Autism or autistic-like behavior
*    Orthopedic Impairment
*    Deaf, Hard of Hearing
*    Visual Impairment
*    Deaf-Blindness
*    Traumatic Brain Injury
